Legacy Piece Haki Guide

Begin Armament with Rayleigh at Ice Land, follow Observation’s Enel route at Hollow Land, and prepare maxed Armament before the V2 / Ryou upgrade.

How to Get Haki in Legacy Piece

Armament and Observation have separate NPC quest routes. Armament hardens strikes; Observation supports sensing and dodging. Armament V2 is the later upgrade often called Ryou.

Start with the branch that addresses your current objective, then read its quest conditions before farming. Basic Armament needs 300,000 Money and the Unlock Armament Haki 1 and 2 quests. Observation needs 1,000,000 Money and its two unlock quests. The V2 route comes after maxing base Armament.

Owning the unlock and using it correctly in combat are separate jobs. A quest can ask for Combat style attacks, Haki dodges, or a progression stage. Check the named condition rather than substituting whichever skill deals the most damage.

How to Unlock Armament Haki

Visit Rayleigh at Ice Land and follow the Armament unlock quests. Prepare 300,000 Money for the unlock.

The first task is to defeat 20 Beggars using the Combat style. The second asks for 100 uses of Combat skill Z. Keep the named style equipped and confirm a small amount of progress before grinding the entire counter. A weapon or fruit attack may defeat the target without satisfying a Combat-specific objective.

After the Beggar stage, inspect the next quest before continuing to kill enemies. A skill-use counter asks for uses of the named action, which is different from another set of defeats. Watch the progress display so you can see that the game is registering the action you repeat.

Avoid an unnecessary stat reset before testing your current setup. Try a short eligible fight first, see whether Combat damage is sufficient, then adjust only what you need. This preserves resources for the later Haki route while helping you diagnose a wrong-style issue separately from low damage.

Once the unlock requirements are complete, return to the NPC and check the Haki controls. Try the effect on a familiar encounter before moving into harder progression. The goal is a routine you can use consistently, with enough attention left for enemy attacks and your next quest counter.

How to Unlock Observation Haki

Follow Enel’s Observation route at Hollow Land. Complete 20 Hollow defeats and then five Shinigami defeats, with 1,000,000 Money for the unlock.

Keep the two objectives in sequence. A Hollow is the first target; the Shinigami task comes after it. Check the accepted quest and target name before investing time in repeated fights. Reaching a location associated with the route does not mean every nearby enemy counts.

After unlocking Observation, practice using it against attacks you can see clearly. Distinguish a successful Haki dodge from manually moving out of range. This becomes especially important when a later quest measures Observation dodges rather than your general ability to avoid damage.

For the Star Platinum route, inspect the dodge counter after a short trial. If it advances, continue with the same manageable encounter. If it does not, check the active Stardust stage and Haki state before taking more attacks. An unnecessary high-damage target makes this diagnosis harder.

How Armament Haki V2 Works

Armament V2 / Busoshoku V2 is the later Ryou route. Prepare maxed Armament at Stage 8, 10,000,000 Money, and the Awaken Ryou 1 and 2 quests.

Check the base Armament stage before looking for the upgrade dialogue. A base unlock is the beginning of that progression, not proof that the Stage 8 prerequisite is complete. The V2 route is associated with Legacy Island; read the active Ryou task before you leave to farm.

One Ryou objective asks for 500 uses of Combat skill Z. Keep the required Combat action separate from a generic skill rotation. If the counter remains unchanged, inspect the equipped style and prerequisite stage before assuming you need a stronger enemy.

Treat Armament V2 as its own preparation project. Keep the named base progression, quest completion, and payment ready together. Do not confuse a colour change with an upgrade stage or assume that an Observation task completes the Armament route.

When you unlock the upgrade, test it in the same encounter you used for the base setup. Keep other gear and passive choices consistent while learning the new combat routine. This makes it easier to notice how the upgrade fits your attacks without changing several build systems at once.

What About Conqueror Haki?

Conqueror, also called Haoshoku, is a separate branch from Armament, Observation, and Armament V2.

Treat its progression separately from the unlock you are currently doing. Completing Rayleigh’s base tasks or Enel’s Observation tasks does not stand in for another named Haki branch. Read the current Conqueror card and the game’s unlock prompt before committing resources to that path.

For a player focused on the Broken Pedestal quest, Observation is the branch needed for the dodge objective. For someone preparing Armament V2, base Armament progression is the relevant prerequisite. Choose your next branch around the task you want to finish, then return to other Haki paths afterwards.

Where Haki Is Required in Current Quests

The Star Platinum Stardust route requires 50 successful Observation Haki dodges after the Broken Pedestal and earlier objectives.

Keep Stardust 4 active when completing that counter. Test whether Observation’s successful dodges register before committing to a long fight. The objective is not a request to dash 50 times, and ordinary movement away from the enemy is not the same mechanic.

Armament has its own progression gates for the later V2 route. Read the named stage and skill objective when training it. Quest conditions refer to a specific system, so a powerful style, a good race, or a defensive trait does not automatically replace Haki.

Use the quest tracker to decide whether you need a new unlock or better execution of one you already own. If you have Observation but the dodge task stalls, test the action and stage. If you have basic Armament but cannot open V2, inspect the progression prerequisite rather than starting the base quests again.

Which Haki Should You Unlock First?

Choose Armament for its base strike progression, Observation when a dodge objective is your next blocker, and Armament V2 after its base prerequisites are ready.

For a new Haki routine, begin with a short unlock checklist: required NPC, accepted task, target or skill, and money. Finish the current counter and read the next prompt. This is easier to follow than mixing several island farms into one session without checking which quests are active.

For an established build, let the next unlock guide your order. Someone entering the Star Platinum dodge stage should prepare Observation. Someone with Stage 8 Armament can plan Ryou. If neither prerequisite is ready, spend the session finishing the earlier stage instead of travelling between advanced NPCs.

Common Haki Unlock Problems

Most stalled Haki tasks need a check of the named branch, quest stage, target type, or equipped Combat action.

For Armament, confirm Combat is used where required. For Observation, distinguish the Hollow and Shinigami stages. For Ryou, check Stage 8 and the required Combat skill. For Stardust, confirm successful Observation dodges while the matching quest is active.

Before repeating an activity, write down the counter and complete a small test. If progress changes, continue. If it stays unchanged, reread the objective and NPC dialogue. Diagnose the condition first; spending more money or fighting a harder enemy cannot solve an incorrectly selected quest.

After an unlock, check the device’s actual controls and practise activation in a familiar fight. If the effect is absent, inspect whether it is available and active before judging the build. Keep Haki training separate from race or trait rerolls so the source of a problem remains clear.
